Keep in mind: Freelancer Academy is meant as a mature, literate, roleplay site. This means adult themes, some of them possibly morally questionable. Some sections may or may not include nudity, foul language, homosexual themes, etc. Whilst this game has not been created for the sole purpose of a giant orgy, it is being played around a group of hormonal teenagers, and we all know what they're like.
Rules are set for the safety and comfort of others, so please take notice of them!
1. Respect all members of the forums - regardless of rank, race, sex, creed, religion or otherwise. It is preferable that any real life controversial subject be left at the doorstep, just to avoid the hassle entirely. (Or as this artist puts it: "I HAVE AN OPINION!")
2. Heavy adult themes (epic!fighting/torture/smexxins) either need to be marked in the subject line as "M", or taken to IM. If you read a post that offends you, and it isn't marked "M" or "Mature", report to The Director or one of The Administrators. If you read a post marked "M" or "Mature" and you get offended- hard luck.
3. I am not expecting Stephen King's unedited Stand for each and every post you make, however, one-line replies will not be tolerated, simply because it makes it nigh-on impossible for anyone else to continue on from it. Please try and put as much description into your posts as you possibly can, without going cross-eyed or throwing things at the screen.
4. Keep your hands to yourself - do NOT under any circumstance (other than with explicit permission) post for someone's character without their consent. This constitutes autoing/godmodding, and no-one likes it when a character keels over dead.
5. The use of "chat" or "internet speak" in in character posts is strictly prohibited and you will be warned through PMs on the first offence. Second and third will result in warnings that will show up below one's avatar. Neither The Director nor The Administrators wish to have to pull anyone aside and school them on basic grammar, spelling and punctuation.
6. The Director's word is law - but remember that The Administrators work for The Director. If one says something, don't go crying to another. The decision may be unanimous. If you go to another admin after being told something by an admin, you're barking up the wrong tree. What The Director and The Administrators say is final - and hopefully fair.
7. While we say we want details, details, details in a post on here - if you get into a fight, you can shorten the posts as there typically isn't a lot of detail one can put into a post. Be precise in your wording, you will be given the chance to rework posts if something isn't clear/understood.
